Jumping Beans

Today we focused on the science of S.T.E.M Saturdays. We started the day off by gathering the materials that we needed to grow the red kidney beans. Members got into the project as they began to learn about the growth and life of the red beans. We first got wet paper towels to put the beans in with the use of a zip lock bag to encase the moisture and water vapor from leaving the bag. During the process of bagging the beans other members set up the ProScope handheld Microscope hopping to use it when the beans grow a steam or two. Members then taped the bags on the window in an area of sun light. The first day was well and we will update what happened to the beans next week.
