Bombastic BB-8's

Today went well! We had a 13 kids at the start of the program, in the age range of 8-13. About 2 left. We started off by introducing ourselves, asking who knew scratch, then separated into groups. Since a BB-8 wasn't charged we had one group program, while the others built a obstacle course. Once both teams switched, the robots died. So, while charging the robots, we played games and related them to code. Once the robots were charged a decent amount, we then decided for them to try to take turns w/ the BB-8 and try to beat their obstacles course. Most of them were interested!
